My first solids!

Mom and dad were a little worried but I gobbled it down like I had been doing it all my life!

Hail Storm in LA!

We had strange weather here today. They were predicting snow in LA for this weekend. So far we have just had hail. I sound pretty ridiculous in the video. You would think I haven't seen hail before! We used to get it all the time in Oklahoma. I was just caught up in the moment. We don't get hail here very often so it becomes an "event." What can I say? I'm a dork!

6 Months

I am 6 months today! So much has happened in such a short amount of time. I am sitting up on my own now. I like to babble at mommy and daddy to get their attention. I grab daddy's beard and mommy's hair all the time. I started my first solid food and have my very own sippy cup! I am a drool monster too. I don't have any teeth yet but they are certainly on the way! I don't sit still anymore either... I'm just a busy little monkey. And I go for my 6 mo check up next week to see how much I've grown. Mommy thinks I'm growing up way too fast but I'm loving every minute. I know she does too!

Tulsa Trip

Skylar and I had our first airplane ride to Tulsa to visit all the family. She did great with only one minor melt down from Denver to Tulsa. Slept the entire trip home.

It was so great to see everyone and Skylar got to meet her aunts, uncles, cousins and great grandmother for the first time. We also celebrated my dad's 63rd birthday while we were there. Skylar just rolled with the punches even with our large party of 30 plus people all milling around at the house.

Sky's New Trick

Our First Cold

Skylar had her first cold. One minute we had a runny nose, sneezing and a little bit of a cough and the next we got all smiles. She really is a trooper and kicked it within a week and no fever to speak of. It definitely stressed mommy out more than it did Skylar.
